Meet your Attendance and Family Support Officer
I am Shabina Rehman the Attendance and Family Support Officer for Woodlands Academy. I have worked in Education in various roles since 2015. I bring dedicated experience in educational support.
I am dedicated to partnering with families to navigate challenging circumstances, offering support in several key areas:
- I focus on promoting and managing attendance across the academy, implementing supportive measures and early interventions to ensure all students can engage fully with their education.
- I provide a confidential supportive environment for parents and caregivers to discuss concerns regarding student welfare offering expert guidance and actionable advice.
- I actively signpost and refer families to local specialist services within the Bristol area, ensuring access to appropriate external support networks.
- I work directly with families and children experiencing significant challenges, including but not limited to relationship change, bereavement, mental health and financial hardship.
- I facilitate both small group interventions and 1;1 sessions to provide comprehensive emotional and social development support.
I am committed to adopting a collaborative and strength-based approach, working alongside families to achieve the best possible outcomes for every child.
