My name is Lianne Sheldon and I am the family link and pastoral support worker at Woodlands Academy. I have worked in early education since 2002 and moved into family support in 2008.
I understand that many families experience challenging times and I am here to work with and support families in many ways:
I work closely with our Attendance Lead to support and encourage good attendance throughout the school.
I will listen to parents/carers concerns and offer suggestions and advice for individuals and families on behaviour management, boundaries, routines and school attendance, to name a few.
I can also refer and signpost to other services available within Bristol.
I work with families and support children, who are going through difficult times including relationship breakdown, bereavement, mental wellbeing and financial hardship.
I run interventions groups and 1:1 sessions within school, to help support children. These interventions cover a wide range of emotional support.
I am passionate about working with the family to help with challenges in a positive way so children can achieve the best outcomes.
